Refreshing sleep. Feeling revived. We were up, out and fed
by 11am, off to the first tradeshow, Capsule. A rather intimidating start to
our tradeshow tour, unsure how to approach the brands and from which
perspective, we bumbled along, nodding politely at each stand. Some beautiful brands showing some really individual pieces. Following our ramble around Berlin's streets the day before, Matt had purchased an amazing black leather-look raincoat from one of the many boutiques. Ironically, the label, 'Stutterheim' happened to be exhibiting at Capsule, and Matt was of course streetstyled by the brand as a perfect example of how to wear the coat.
I am now on the look out for a pair of 'Shwood' sunglasses - great shaped
sunglasses with an original handcrafted feel.
Highlight of Capsule was definitely the free Green&Blacks chocolate, Lemonaid and the gorgeous wristband which came in the form of a little red bracelet. You can take the student out of University....
We moved onto Premier and Seek shows, however a few of us didn't have tickets to Premier. After blagging our way into Seek with business cards, feeling very accomplished with ourselves, we toured the 3 floor tradeshow. Seek had a really buzzy atmosphere with great food and drink available, in a bar that ran through the middle of the bottom floor.
Seek was definitely my favourite tradeshow of all. Every single brand was really interested to speak to us as we wandered around. We were catching onto the correct etiquette suitable for these shows, and found it really confidence-boosting to talk to the stalls and discuss their clothing in a professional way.
